Leica iCON Total Stations Unveiled with 4G Capability

Leica Geosystems has unveiled its latest manual total stations, the iCON iCB50 and iCB70. With these instruments, the firm is promoting a simplified workflow alongside the ever-increasing digitization of the job site.

The iCON iCB50 and iCB70 total stations integrate with Leica’s iCON create BIM suite, but they also feature a 4G modem to allow transfer of data directly from the device to the office.

Shane O’Regan, product expert at Leica Geosystems, said “The new manual construction total stations provide a simple data flow and the flexibility to work directly with digital designs with simple yet powerful selection tools, allowing the user to keep up to date with design information. The construction-tailored software facilitates the move to digital construction with the streamlined use of data from digital chalk lines to fully-rendered models in IFC file format. It enables users to have full flexibility to select work packages directly in the field on the total station without additional steps.”
