The National Trust has turned to aerial laser mapping to create accurate 3D models of the Dudmaston Hall estate in Shropshire, England. Working with aerial mapping company Bluesky, the Trust plans to improve access to the historically and culturally important estate. Impossible Aerospace US-1 Drone Responds to California Fire

The US-1 unmanned aircraft from Impossible Aerospace made another public demonstration on Friday 28 June, this time at a four-alarm construction site fire burning only minutes away from the company's Santa Clara headquarters. Equipped with thermal and optical sensors, the aircraft hovered on station for one hour and six minutes before the fire was extinguished, demonstrating its industry-leading endurance. The US-1 delivered high-definition thermal video to ground crews, allowing them to easily identify hot spots to share with first responders. Dublin Airport is using data collected by laser scanning aircraft to accurately measure land surface elevation to help reduce the risk of flooding at the international transport hub.
